Middle School Leadership Camp - Students Entering Grades 7-8.

The Camp takes place from June 6-9, 2010, in Fargo, ND at Oak Grove School.  STLF's Middle School Leadership Camp is a four-day experience filled with team-building activities, challenging workshops, lasting memories, and a commitment to positive change. The camp is open to all students entering grades 7-8.

Regardless of prior leadership experience, background, or location, this experience is one you would not regret.

A Next Step Leadership Experience...

Excited StudentsIf you enjoyed your experience on the Pay It Forward Tour, you will love your experience at the Camp. While the Pay It Forward Tour is more focused on travel and service, the Middle School Leadership Camp brings together students from all walks of life to focus on skills in leadership, organizing, teamwork, and much more.  STLF's Middle School Leadership Camp is an experience that provides an excellent complement to the Pay It Forward Tour. Some things to look forward to are:

  • Team Building - Students will learn how to form effective teams. They'll also learn about their strengths and effective strategies to maximize the outputs of groups.
  • Project Planning - Planning a project can be tough. Students will learn how to find partners for their projects, create a timeline, and figure out what promotions really work. Students will have the opportunity to their skills to test at camp!
  • Goal Setting - What is a goal? How is it measureable? Are they really needed? Goal setting workshops will provide students the chance to figure out what they want to accomplish as a leader
  • Fun! Fun! Fun! - Camp will provide an exciting atmosphere with skits, songs, and tons of fun!

It is a next step in leadership and in working together with new friends to create a lasting impact for your school, community, and in the lives of your peers.

Camp is Open to Students from Any School.

Like all STLF programs, the Middle School Leadership Camp is open to students from any school.  We hope to have students from schools across North Dakota and Minnesota, and all are welcome!

Cost and Financial Aid.

The cost of STLF's Middle School Leadership Camp is $150.  This includes all expenses such as lodging, meals, t-shirt, and more.  The Camp takes place from June 6-9, 2010.

STLF is committed to increasing access to its programs to all students, regardless of their background or ability to pay, so we do offer students an opportunity to apply for need-based financial aid.  Please email financialaid@stlf.net to receive a financial aid application.

Transportation to and From Camp.

STLF is unable to provide transportation to or from Camp.  All students and families will be responsible for arranging transportation on their own.  We are happy to help arrange car pools if others are coming from your community or area.
